Dream Come True. (A short Story)

Hazel was just like any other teenage girl – she loved spending her free time on her phone, watching Netflix and scrolling through Instagram. She wasnt a big fan of school, yet always tried her best to get average scores. There was one thing that set her apart from her peers – she had a dream of becoming an author.

Since she was a little girl, Hazel had always been mesmerized by the power of words. She loved getting lost in imagined worlds, and creating characters that people could relate to. She was often lost in the imaginary worlds she created. It wasn’t until her English teacher assigned a creative writing project that she realized just how much she loved storytelling.

Fast forward a few years, and Hazel had decided to pursue her dream of becoming a writer. She put in long hours of practice writing short stories and poems, and avidly read books by her favorite authors. She knew that it wouldn’t be an easy road to take, yet she was determined to make it happen.

As Hazel worked hard to achieve her goals, she faced many obstacles along the way. She struggled with self-doubt and rejection, as she received countless rejections from publishers and literary agents. It was tough to keep her spirits up and continue writing when she received so much negativity.

Despite the hurdles she encountered, Hazel remained focused on her dream. She took writing courses, attended workshops and read everything that she could get her hands on to improve her craft. And as she continued to hone her skills, Hazel began to build a network of other aspiring writers who were on the same journey as she was.

Over time, Hazel’s hard work paid off and she finally got her big break. A small independent publisher saw her talent and offered her a contract for her first book. Hazel was ecstatic; she had finally reached the first big milestone on her journey to becoming a writer.

As the years went by, Hazel continued to work on her craft. She wrote several books that were published to critical acclaim and even won a few awards. And while there were still times when she encountered setbacks, she never let it stop her from achieving her dreams.

Hazel knew that becoming an author was not an easy road. It took hard work, dedication, and perseverance. But with every obstacle she overcame, Hazel had a clearer picture of what it took to become a successful writer. She was living proof that if you work hard and never give up, dreams really can come true.
